Directions

Directions to Hill from the M5 & South Molton:

o   Leave the M5 at Junction 27 and follow the A361 towards Barnstaple.  Nearing South Molton, go straight over a small roundabout, then take the third exit at the next larger roundabout, signed A399 to Brayford.

o   Follow the A399 for about 8 miles.  After the village of Brayford, the road winds upwards for about a mile, then bends sharply to the right, with a turning off to Stoke Rivers.  Immediately after this take left turning signed Bratton Fleming. (1)

o   Follow this road (with passing places) for about a mile when you will enter a 30 mile zone and then reach a T-Junction.  Turn left, and the road takes you down through Bratton Fleming, with the White Hart pub on your right.

o   Pass Furze Park Road on your right, then look out for Mill Lane which is the next right (2) and turn off here, following the single track road for about a mile as it winds down to the river.  Pass over a small bridge, then the road bends sharply and steeply uphill.  Just as the road starts to flatten out, look out for a sharp left turn into our lane. (3)

o   Follow this lane to its end, turn right into the forecourt and you will see Hill on the right hand side.

Directions to Hill from Barnstaple:

o   Take the Goodleigh Road out of Barnstaple, signposted Goodleigh & Bratton Flemming. (1)

o   Follow this for about 4 ½ miles with the River Yeo to your left.  Just before the road starts to rise up a hill at Loxhore Cross, take a left turning signed Loxhore. (2)

o   Follow this road for about ½ a mile, then after a sharp bend to your right, take the right turning signed Lower Loxhore. (3)

o   Follow this road (with passing places) as it winds up through Lower Loxhore, past a telephone box and the Methodist Church.

o   You will reach Halsey Lake T-junction, (4) turn right, following the road uphill and past the village hall on your right.

o   Shortly after this is Roborough Cottage on your right, then a right turn into our lane. (5)

o   Follow this lane to its end, turn right into the forecourt and you will see Hill on the right hand side.
