Solar Panels

 

We are attempting to generate as much as possible of the electricity that we consume, and have installed a 3.84kWh array of solar panels at the bottom of our field. On a really sunny day, we generate more than we are consuming, so the excess is exported to the national grid.

Local produce

   

We aim to provide our guests with a good supply of our own produce, e.g. home-made granola and yoghourt, bacon and sausages from our local Farm Shop, tomatoes in season from our greenhouse, eggs from our neighbour, home-made bread, drop scones, jams and marmalade.

Recycling

We compost as much as possible, give most of the rest of our waste food to the chickens next door, and make full use of the local recycling facilities for plastic, glass, paper and cardboard.
